Black Briar Investments LLC is a small well-funded business group focused on building value for investors through scrap metal refining. More specifically, refining focused on the Platinum Group Metals (PGM). The goal of Black Briar Investments is to identify and purchase undervalued industrial scrap material containing PGM, refine the material to separate out the precious metals, and then recycle the material back on to the commercial market.
If you are unfamiliar, the Platinum Group Metals (PGM) are six noble, precious metallic elements clustered together in the periodic table which consists of Ruthenium (Ru), Rhodium (Rh), Palladium (Pd), Osmium (Os), Iridium (Ir), and Platinum (Pt). They are chemically, physically and structurally similar elements that naturally occur together and are some of the world’s most sought-after minerals. The metals are prized for several of their intrinsic qualities such as resistance to chemical attack, excellent high-temperature operability, high mechanical strength, good ductility, and stable electrical properties. From transportation technology and fuel cell innovations to the most sophisticated medical equipment, platinum group metals are vital resources. In fact, 20 percent of goods manufactured today either contain platinum group metals or require them during production, making these metals essential to nearly every industry.
